Welcome to the website of New York based Contralto Heather Petrie.
This week I am singing in two concerts in NYC that are both free and open to the public!
Monday June 10 at 7:30 pm I will be the Alto soloist for NY Choral Consortium’s BIG SING at St John the Divine (1047 Amsterdam Ave)…the audience will be the choir! An assortment of Sanctus movements from different masses are on the program.
Saturday, June 15 at 7pm St George’s Choral Society (4 Rutherford Place) will be presenting Pergolesi’s Magnificat and Handel’s Psalm 112. I will be singing with the choir and have a few step out solos.
Later this summer, my early music quartet Caladrius will be presenting our first performance in Plainfield, Massachusetts at 7pm (356 West Main St). Come for a delightful mixture of sacred motets, renaissance madrigals, and even some early opera!
As always, let me know if you are able to attend any of my upcoming concerts…
I’d love to say hello!
I had the extreme honor of competing in the Lyndon Woodside Oratorio Society Competition this Spring at Carnegie Hall, and I won 2nd Place! I look forward to being the Alto Soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Oratorio Society on December 19.
