Welcome

Welcome to the website of New York based Contralto Heather Petrie.

I am very happy to report that, after a long and cautious quarantine period, there are some safely distanced musical events starting to happen again!

Voices of Ascension has been hosting a mini concert series on the front steps of the church, and I will be performing a short set of women’s a cappella songs on November 7.  Follow them on Facebook to watch the performance.  You can also visit their website for information on the Virtual Gala on November 17 and a number of other events: https://www.voicesofascension.org/programs

The St. George’s Choral Society has commissioned a new piece by Phillip Martin!  I will be the Alto Soloist in his Mass on November 21, and the concert can be live streamed at 7pm.  Visit this link to purchase tickets:

Recently I made a recording of the Christmas portion of the Messiah in a barn with the Oratorio Society of New York, which will be released on December 21.  Stay tuned for more details!

Please consider supporting some of the organizations I regularly sing with, so they will still be there for us on the other side of this pandemic.

I look forward to singing for you soon!
